Started in 2010 by Deborah Ratynski, R.N., The Pediatric Angel Network's goal is to provide assistance in the care of an ill or disabled child. Deborah became aware of a quiet tragedy occurring in our own neighborhoods. As a visiting nurse for pediatric patients, Deborah found that many families were unable to afford the most basic of supplies to care for their sick child. These families were struggling with financial hardships in the care of their child due to uncovered medical expenses, forcing some families to choose between purchasing groceries and buying necessary medications and supplies. Wanting to give these kids the best chance at a healthy life, Deborah met and collaborated with other concerned professionals from the community...and the Pediatric Angel Network was born.
The Pediatric Angel Network provides financial and material assistance to families of children with a longterm illness or disability. Families may be experiencing difficulty due to expenses not covered by insurance. Our 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization was created to help these families ease some the hardships they may be encountering due to their child's illness or disability. This charity exists to help these families obtain the resources required to give their child...a fighting chance!
